Gearing up for Divisionals

Now that the Regionals competition is behind us, Team OTE is setting their sights on SCS Divisions hosted by the On The Edge (OTE) Rock Climbing Gym. There will be a lot of activities getting everything ready for the competition. Team OTE will continue their training and Chris (a.k.a. Socks) continues with his extra-curricular training. Just to give you an idea of his training program:

  • Monday AM – 20-30 minute run
  • Monday PM – “Eighters” which are sequence of 8 moves including squats and push-ups. I think he is doing 60+ of these now.
  • Tuesday AM – Hangboard exercises
  • Tuesday PM – Team OTE Practice
  • Wednesday AM – 20-30 minute run
  • Wednesday PM – Yoga
  • Thursday AM – Hangboard exercises
  • Thursday PM – Team OTE Practice
  • Friday AM – 20-30 minute run
  • Friday PM – “Eighters”
  • Weekend – Team OTE or individual practice at the gym.

This weekend Chris and I are thinking about running in a 5K race up at Wickham Park since there is no team practice due to the holiday weekend.
